My Morning Routine
Is anyone else a super routined person like myself? I’m not sure if I am a routine person because I’m highly superstitious, or I am a creature of habit.. I have had quite a few messages asking me how long it takes to get ready in the morning with my full face of makeup (lol) so I thought that this would be a great blog post!
I set my alarm for 5:55am during the week. Once I wake up I am allowed to lay in bed until 6:15am (lol). I then get in the shower to help wake me up! I have to shower every morning or else I just don’t feel like myself! Pi then brush my hair and part it, and my hair air dries into what everyone sees, my straight as straight can be hair. I brush my teeth as I typically don’t eat breakfast, and then we are off to “my” room aka one of the extra bedrooms where I keep all of my things.
For as long as I can remember, I have always sat on the floor in front of a floor length mirror and have done my makeup. I start by plopping my contacts in and then I put on my Image Skincare face lotion. This amazing lotion has SPF in it and is the best face lotion that I have ever used. Not only does it smell wonderful, but it helps my foundation go on so smoothly. Game changer! My makeup typically takes about 20 minutes to do. I try and listen to a podcast during this time but sometimes I enjoy sitting in silence and preparing for my day. This is my “me time” for the day.
I then get dressed and pick out a flat and anheal to go with my outfit. I always take at least two pairs of shoes to work with me - sometimes it’s threenpairs, sometimes it’s four haha! Then I put on my wait here, ring and necklace for the day, perfume and deodorant and we are set.
Lastly, I bring my two bags out to the living room, go back into our room and kiss Landon goodbye as he is typically still sleeping, and out the door I go by 7am! I have this schedule down to a science and there have been times that I have run behind if something unexpected happens (lol).
Do you have a particular routine at a certain point in your day? I would love to hear about it!
